About Ranger Rubber
Safety Surfaces Backed by People Who Care

A Family Legacy.
Ranger Rubber was founded on a legacy of innovation, purpose, and decades of experience. The idea traces back to Terry Harris, who began researching end-of-life tire disposal. He discovered that discarded tires in landfills, abandoned mines, and caves were not only polluting the environment but also collecting water — becoming breeding grounds for disease-carrying mosquitoes. Moreover, he was shocked to learn these tires take hundreds of years to decompose naturally and were being disposed of at an alarming scale. At the time, the U.S. was discarding a staggering 330 million tires annually. From there, he and his family made it their mission to repurpose rubber. They were able to divert millions of pounds of waste from landfills and transform it into innovative, patented products.

After selling their first rubber business, the Harris family couldn’t quite stay away from the work they knew best. That passion led to the creation of Ranger Rubber: a new chapter built on years of experience and a deep understanding of the industry.
Today, Ranger Rubber is proudly owned and operated by Jennifer, Terry’s daughter, and her husband, Nathan. Nathan first joined the Harris crew back in their manufacturing days, and while they quickly noticed his skill and aptitude, he jokes Jennifer didn’t let on so easily. Together, they’ve built a company that’s now one of the best in the business. Known for quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a true commitment to safety, Ranger Rubber specializes in playground surfacing and is now expanding into trail work with the same trusted care.
Commitment to Quality
We treat every job like it’s in our own backyard. That means honest communication, tight quality control, and a finished surface we’re proud to put our name on.
Expertise and Innovation
We don’t just follow industry standards — we help define them, literally. Our team stays ahead of the curve with better materials, smarter drainage systems, and field-tested installation methods.
Environmental Stewardship
From recycled EPDM rubber to water-permeable designs, sustainability is baked into everything we do. Our solutions help communities meet their environmental goals without compromising performance.
Our Vision
Building a Safer, Smarter Future
At Ranger Rubber, our vision is simple: infrastructure should serve people — not just traffic. That’s why we design porous pavement systems that work with the environment, not against it.
Our surfaces help manage stormwater, reduce heat islands, and minimize long-term maintenance — all while creating safer, cleaner spaces for the communities that depend on them.
We believe infrastructure can do more than function. It can protect, preserve, and inspire. That’s the future we’re building — one project at a time.
